FCCLA Star Events

On January 16, 2008, six Dodge FCCLA members traveled to Howells High to compete in District 5 Star Events. In the Health and Wellness category, Tessa Harms, Kim Meiergerd, and Kelly Pieper gave a presentation of “Postpartum Depression.” Nicole Miller, Jesse Dirkschneider, and Adam Ortmeier also competed in the Health and Wellness category with their presentation “Self-Injury: Cut the Chains.” Tessa, Kim, and Kelly came home with the top gold medal and will advance on the state competition in April. Nicole, Jesse, and Adam finished second and were awarded a silver medal.
