Pirates Smash Coleridge

On Friday, February 15, the Dodge Pirates traveled to Coleridge to face the Bulldogs. The Pirates played a great offensive game the whole way through and defeated the Bulldogs 78-38. The first quarter, the Pirates played great defense and only allowed Coleridge to score 8 points. At the end of the first quarter, the Pirates were leading, 18-8. The Pirates continued to play a great game and at halftime, the Pirates were in the lead, 37-14. In the beginning of the second half, the Pirates stepped up their offense scoring 25 points in the third quarter, while holding the Bulldogs to only 7. At the end of the third quarter, the Pirates were ahead 62-21. The Pirates continued their great game to the end, winning the game 78-38.
Scoring for the Pirates are: Jacob Kreikemeier with 32 points, Bryan Ruzek with 22 points, Adam Ortmeier with 10 points, Kurt Ortmeier with 4 points, Jeff Ruskamp with 3 points, Chris Tomasek with 3 points, Danny Hassler with 2 points, and Tommy Ruzek with 2 points.
This game was the Pirates last regular season game. They are in sub-district action at Clarkson on Tuesday, February 19, where they will face the Lindsay Holy Family Bulldogs.
