Lady Pirates End Season 9 and 12

The Dodge Lady Pirates traveled to Clarkson to face the Lindsay Lady Bulldogs for the second round of subdistricts. This game was held on February 14, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. The first quarter was a low scoring quarter with the Lady Pirates leading 5 to 4. Lindsay came out ready to play in the second quarter, scoring 9 points, making the half time score 9 to 13, in favor of Lindsay. The Lady Pirates were ambitious coming out from the locker room, ready to play. The third quarter score was 21 to 19, Lindsay still on top. As the fourth quarter buzzer rang, the scoreboard showed 32 to 29. The Lady Pirates came up short, but ended the season on a well-fought game.
Scoring for the Lady Pirates were Christi Tomka and Paige Sellhorst, both with 7 points. Kayla Franzluebbers scored 5, Brittnie Kreikemeier with 4, and Emily Pieper with a 3-pointer. Nicole Kreikemeier scored a basket, and Kim Meiergerd threw in a free throw.
