Malcolm Track Invitational

Friday, April 4, 2008, Dodge competed in the Malcolm Invitational for Class D

Schools.

In the boy’s division, Dodge had many students place in their events.  Alex Avilez placed fifth in the 100-meter relay with a time of 11.8 seconds.   Adam Ortmeier placed second in the 400-meter relay with a time of 54.9 seconds, third in the 4x100 relay with 46.9 seconds, and fourth in the High Jump with 5’6.  Jeff Ruskamp placed second in the 110 High Hurdles with 17.3 seconds, second in the 300-Intermidiate Hurdles with 44.2 seconds and fifth in the Triple Jump with 37’4.  Danny Hassler placed second in the 800-meter relay with a time of two minutes and fourteen seconds.  Chris Tomasek placed third in the 800-meter relay with two minutes and fifteen seconds, the 4x400 relay with three minutes and forty-six seconds, and the 4x800 relay with nine minutes and twenty-five seconds.  Jacob Kreikemeier placed first in the 1600-meter relay with a time of four minutes and fifty-four seconds.  Justin Linday placed fifth in the 3200-meter relay with a time of twelve minutes and thirty-four seconds.  Jerry Muller placed third in the shot put with 44’3 and Tommy Ruzek placed sixth in the triple jump with35’10.  Collectively, Adam Ortmeier, Jeff Ruskamp, Danny Hassler, and Chris Tomasek placed first in the 400-meter relay split and Danny Hassler, Chris Tomasek, Bryan Ruzek, and Mitchell Hagedorn placed first in the 800-meter relay split.

In the girl’s division, many students placed as well.  Nicole Kreikemeier placed first in the 400-meter relay with 63.3 seconds, second in the 4x800-meter relay with eleven minutes and fourteen seconds, second in the 4x400-meter relay with four minutes and thirty-one seconds, and first in the long jump with fourteen feet and eight inches.  Christi Tomka placed first in the 800-meter relay, and second in the triple jump with thirty-one feet and one inch.  Callan Rolf placed second in the 1600-meter relay with a time of six minutes and eight seconds, and first in the 3200-meter relay with a time of thirteen minutes and forty-one seconds.  Emily Pieper placed sixth in the 4x100 relay with 57.8 seconds.  Kayla Franzluebbers placed second in discus with 89’7 and sixth in shot put with 28’4.  Brittnie Kreikemeier placed fifth in high jump with 4’2; Jennifer Meyer placed sixth in long jump with 13’o and Dana Kluthe placed fourth in triple jump with 29’2.   Collectively, Christi Tomka, Nicole Kreikemeier, Brianna Wisnieski and Brittnie Kreikemeier placed second in the 400-meter relay split.  Christi Tomka, Nicole Kreikemeier, Callan Rolf and Dana Kluthe placed second in the 800-meter relay split.

All the track participants ran as hard as they could and had as much fun as they could and did the best they could.
