A "Rockin" Grandparent's Day was celebrated at Dodge Public Schools on Tuesday, April 29. With nearly 100 guests, the students sang songs and read poetry for the program. Grades 5 and 6 presented "Green Acres", "Ballad of Jed Clampett" and "Eight Balloons". Grades 3 and 4 presented a "Poster Power" presentation written by the students and Mrs. Conrad.
Grades 1 and 2 presented "Rockin' Robin". The Kindergartners presented "Miss Mary Mack", "Macarena Months", and "Tooty Ta". The Grandparents/Grandfriends were invited to the classrooms. The Grandparents had the opportunity to see the baby chicks that were hatched as an embryology project. Students compared prices of everyday items in the 1950's to the prices today and presented these on a bulletin board. Grandparents/Grandfriends also had the opportunity to see slide shows with pictures from the school year in classrooms. Cookies were provided by parents and teachers in the elementary.
