The State Speech Experience

On Wednesday March 19th, 2008, the D-2 State Speech competition was held in Kearney. This year five members of the Dodge High Speech team made it to Kearney. Sara Hartline, Kim Meiergerd, Nicole Miller, Julie Kreikemeier, and Kelly Pieper were the members of the OID competing at the meet.
Team members left Dodge after school on Tuesday to make the long drive and were up early on Wednesday to compete at UNK.
The OID members competed in two rounds, but fell short of finals by four points. Even though it was a let down, the OID still received an impressive Superior rating.
