Dodge Public Elementary School will be hosting a “Read Across
America” celebration at the Dodge Public Gymnasium at 1:15 on
Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Students and parents from Howells and
Dodge Public Schools are invited to attend. Julia Cook, author of
several children’s books will be the featured “star” guest speaker.
She will present an entertaining reading of her book, Scoop. Copies
of her books will be available for sale and she will autograph
books after the presentation. Attached is a copy of the order form
and a brief description of many of her books. Please return order
forms to your classroom teacher by Tuesday, March 17th.
Students and visitors are invited to come dressed in pajamas,
robes, and slippers as the theme for our celebration is “Read for
the Stars”. We look forward to a fun and entertaining
afternoon!
