Summer has finally arrived and I want to take this opportunity
to invite students who will be in grades 2-6 in the fall to
participate in a summer reading program. We all worked very hard to
improve reading scores the past two years and would like to see
those numbers improve even more. With that said, practice will make
the students better readers.
The public school library will be open beginning June 8 and will be
open Monday-Friday until July 1st. Students will be able to check
out books and take AR tests from 9:30-10:30 each day. AR testing
will begin June 15th. Students will have predetermined goals for
the summer reading program.
Once the student has reached his/her goal for the summer, he/she
will be rewarded with a certificate for ice cream at the grocery
store.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact the school at
693-2207.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to work with your
child/children. It is important that they keep practice reading
skills.
