Freshmen Class Outside of Spaghetti Work in Downtown Omaha
|
by Liz Haney
February 05, 2010
On January 27, 2010, the Dodge Freshmen class traveled to Omaha to see the Omaha Symphony's production of Romeo & Juliet. Since returning to school after Christmas break, the Freshmen English class has read and studied Shakespeare's classic play. They have learned about the life of Shakespeare as well as discussed the themes and events of Romeo & Juliet.
This year, the Omaha Symphony used music from Broadway's West Side Story as a background for the performance. Students recognized songs from clips shown in class. To end the experience, they enjoyed an Italian lunch at Spaghetti Works.
